Monday Motivation: No Fear

Last week, I received a notification from my neurologist that my Electromyography (EMG) test was abnormal. According to the Mayo Clinic, an EMG is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). The EMG is used to rule out numerous conditions and assist in the diagnosis of radiculopathy, neuropathies, muscle diseases, muscular dystrophy, Lou Gehrig’s disease, myasthenia gravis and etc. In my case, the EMG suggested I had a muscle disease. Because of this, my neurologist referred me to our local Muscular
Dystrophy Clinic.

My appointment isn’t until next month, which unfortunately leaves room for fear of the unknown to creep in. We’re all human, right?

Because of this, I decided to compile a list of scriptures to help me get through those moments of fear.

Have you been dealing with fear? Are you faced with a prognosis that doesn’t seem to be in your favor? Today, I encourage you to face your fears head on. Declare that you have the courage to face whatever life throws at you with the help of God.

Prayer:

Dear God:
We are facing a week that we have never seen. Help us to fight fear with Your Word. Even though things may seem to be working against us, we know that it’s all working for our good. We trust that in Your plan for our lives. A plan that’s filled with your goodness and mercy. A plan for us to prosper…  We know that you will strengthen us in times of weakness, give courage in moments of fear and heal our bodies of sicknesses and diseases. We patiently wait on You to fulfill Your promises.

Amen
