Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Where do you live now?

My name is Kandis Weatherspoon. I’m from Dallas, Texas. My boyfriend’s name is Corey Moffett. He’s from Jackson, Mississippi. Currently, we reside in Jackson, Mississippi.

How did you meet?

We met each other through a friend during our freshman year at Jackson State Univeristy.

Describe the moment you knew you belonged together.

We knew it was something about one another because we used to always run into each other. We took classes together and used to constantly flirt on social media (i.e: Instagram).

What makes your relationship work?

Consistency and dedication. We are both young and in school… so school is always our first priority. But we always make time for each other even if it’s at 2AM after studying.

What’s your favorite thing about each other?

Our favorite thing about each other is our strange… but unique personalities.

Kandis: Corey is extremely silly and has a great sense of humor.

Corey: Kandis is quite entertaining and has a great sense of humor.

Tell us about your funniest moment together.

We were at a bar one night and the bartender mistook us for brother and sister. He demanded that we kiss on the spot. Within a matter of seconds the entire bar was yelling, “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” And of course we did.
