On the heels of the Billboard charting hit, “What the Lord Allows”, Gospel great DeWayne Harvey will be a guest on the popular nationwide radio morning show, Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell, on Monday, January 24th, 2022. Mr. Harvey will discuss the success behind the hit duet with fellow hit maker Fred Hammond (formerly of the Gospel group, Commissioned).

“What the Lord Allows” is currently at #17 on Billboard’s Gospel National Airplay chart. In addition the hit song was endorsed by The Rosa Parks Family Foundation last December on the anniversary of Ms. Parks’ stance against segregation in 1955. That commemoration will be revisited throughout January (Dr. King Day) into February (Black History Month) – which also commemorates the birthday of Ms. Parks on February 4th. The Foundation is currently raising funds to have the Rosa Parks house relocated back to the USA from Europe, where it’s being stored in Italy (GoFundMe link here – https://gofund.me/fc017112 )

As for new music Mr. Harvey isn’t slowing down. His current release “Like Mike’’ is now available with a message that resonates with all ages. Available on most media and music platforms, “Like Mike” is part of a collection featuring eight songs – all written and produced by DeWayne Harvey and released on his label, Innovative Records. The track features vocalist Jasmine McClover.

DeWayne states that “The music on (the upcoming album is) ultra-contemporary and even urban with heavy influences from R&B.” With releasing this single, Harvey introduces several artists such as Ms. McClover who joins him on three tracks “Ever Really Wonder”, “Like Mike”, and “Father He Knows”, Alyssa White can be heard on “Love Me Again”and Raleigh Mosley, who also adds his vocals to “Father He Knows.”
