(New York, NY-December 17, 2021) R&B Soul Powerhouse Leela James is closing 2021 with the release of her new video “See Me,”which is the title track of her new album SEE ME that was released earlier this year in July via distributor BMG. Directed by Eric Daniels and Matthew Houck for Customer Support”, “See Me” is an anthem for anyone that’s been overlooked or feels they don’t matter. The song served as a fitting and emotional vocal performance tribute at the George Floyd Commemorative Concert in Houston in May 2021 to Mr. Floyd and to all the black men and women who lost their lives to senseless brutality.

Leela James’ #1 hit song “Complicated” is also being celebrated as one of “Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Songs of 2021” (click here). An amazing end to 2021, “Complicated” spent three weeks in the top spot on both Billboard and Mediabase Adult R&B Airplay charts. Written and produced by James and longtime collaborator Rex Rideout, the infectious single has percolated through radio stations around the country with airplay in major markets like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans, Nashville, Detroit, Denver, and many more. “Complicated” showcases James’ distinctive, raw vocal style and showcases her catchy and emotive lyrical storytelling. James also performed the hit single on the Emmy Award-winning show The Real (click here). Leela then returned with a soul-stirring remix “Complicated (The Remix)” featuring Anthony Hamilton.
