(JACKSON, Miss.) — Jackson State University’s Department of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts will host a runoff debate between Hinds County Sheriff’s candidates Tyree Jones and Marshand Crisler. The event is scheduled at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, in the FD Hall Music Center Recital Hall.

Who: Candidates Marshand Crisler and Tyree Jones; moderator Dr. Maruice Mangum, chair of the Department of Political Science
When: 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11
Where: JSU main campus, 1400 John R. Lynch Street, FD Hall Music Center Recital Hall
Why: The debate will provide a forum for runoff candidates to address pressing issues such as safety, crime, violence and community relations. The runoff election will be Nov. 23.
