This year’s theme was Black Excellence Unparalleled: Pressing Onward in Power. The Phoenix Awards honored individuals who made significant contributions to and also included performances from En Vogue, Stokley, Wayne Brady, Ledisi, Mali Music and Jonathan McReynolds, Rapsody, and Chaka Khan.
