Jackson State University will be closed Monday, Aug. 30, due to Hurricane Ida Precautions

(JACKSON, Miss.) — Due to the impending inclement weather from Hurricane Ida, Jackson State University campuses will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30. All classes and campus activities are canceled. Only essential employees should report to campus. 

Non-essential employees who are able to telework are encouraged to do so. Administrative leave will be granted to any employee unable to telework.  

All Jackson State University sites will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, and all classes and activities will resume.

The university will continue to monitor weather developments and provide additional updates accordingly.
