(Los Angeles, CA – June 12, 2020) A man true to his word, the R&B General Tank has finally delivered his Worth The Wait EP at the request of his fans today. Continuing with the theme of keeping it simple, the piano-based four-song EP is an extension of his While You Wait EP (March release) with all songs written and produced by Tank. Focus track “For Mine” is a ballad that speaks to the truest sense of a relationship. Fans have been streaming the EP since midnight and as a bonus, Tank will be performing a free concert tonight for the iHeart Radio “Live R&B Concert Series” at 8 pm EST/ 5 pm PST hosted by the legendary Keith Sweat in support of the victims of COVID-19 and supporters of Black Lives Matters. Fans can view Tank’s concert at www.KSweatLive.com.
“I’m a man of my word. The fans spoke and I had to deliver. The EP keeps with the same theme and I had the opportunity to touch on more ideas that people need to hear,” states Tank. “The lead single off the EP ‘For Mine’ speaks to the unlimited possibilities that should exist in a relationship. There’s absolutely nothing I wouldn’t do For Mine! It has a hint of unconditional everything and I wanted to send that energy out to all my lovers. Let’s get back to prioritizing the ones we love.”
In addition, Tank will be participating in the inaugural ESSENCE Dear Black Men Summit on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 7 pm EST. He will be appearing on the “My Masculinity” panel discussing how the expressions of black male masculinity have evolved. Viewers can log onto www.essence.com for more information.
