‘House of Cards’ and ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks’ Actor Reg E. Cathey Dead at 59

Netflix’s House of Cards actor Reg E. Cathey has passed away at the age of 59. The Emmy-winning actor, who is known for his roles in The Wire, Oz and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, transitioned at his home in New York surrounded by family and friends.

According to TMZ, Cathey had been battling lung cancer.

Viola Davis, Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson and several other celebrities took to Twitter to pay tribute to the Yale School of Drama alumnus.
