Jussie Smollett Just Dropped a NEW Video – F.U.W.

Earlier this week, Jussie Smollett took to social media to announce the release date for his new video, F.U.W. As promised, the Empire star released the politically laced video shortly before midnight on Wednesday.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Smollett stated, “This song is for the oppressed. That’s why I feel like people will connect with it because it is very broad, because oppression is so broad.”

He went on to share that it was “freeing” to release a song apart from his “Empire” persona, and he challenged himself by directing the video.

“Because the song means so much to me and the message means so much to me, and what we’re going through right now means so much to me, I wanted to do it justice. And I knew what was in my mind would do it justice,” Smollett said.

Fans have been anticipating the release of Smollett’s album, which is scheduled to be released later this year. Needless to say, they are very excited about this video.

After watching F.U.W., they took to Twitter to share their love for Smollett’s latest project.

Even his sister, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and his Empire costar, Gabourey Sidibe, took to the time to share Smollett’s video, in which they described as art.
