Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Where do you live now?

My name is Tequila Lewis and I am 36 years old. I was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi . I’m the mother of two wonderful teenagers… ages 17 and 13.

I work for Ecolab. Currently, we live here in Columbus.

How did you meet?

Eric and I met online. He sent me a friend request and I almost didn’t accept it because of his age. I am five years older than he is. I finally accepted his request once I scrolled through his profile and looked at his pictures. We talked on the phone the same day and met face to face about a week later. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

Describe the moment you knew you belonged together.

Honestly, there wasn’t just one moment. It took us spending time together and getting to know each other’s ins and outs. We had both been in bad marriages and were moving with caution. He didn’t want to be hurt again and I was tired of getting it wrong. We just sort of literally fell in love. I literally looked at him one day and was like I really love this dude!

What makes your relationship work?

The first thing is that we both have our own individual relationship with God and that we so desperately want to make the other happy! He caters to me just as much as I do to him. We are exactly what the other person needs when we need it. Where he is the storm I am the calm and vice versa. He loves me unconditionally as I do him and it’s hard to find that these days.

What’s your favorite thing about each other?

My favorite thing about Eric is his smile. He hates it, but I think it lights up the room. Also, I love how gentle he is with me.

Tell us about your funniest moment together.

We have had so many I cannot pinpoint just one. We are always laughing when we are together. I have such a good time when I am with him.
