Taraji P. Henson, RZA, Snoop Dogg, Common and Keegan Michael-Key will Guest Star on ‘The Simpsons’

On January 15th, The Simpsons, an animated series, will air its first one hour special on FOX featuring the following guest stars:

Actress Taraji P. Henson from Empire
Comedian Keegan Michael-Key
Rapper RZA
Rapper Snoop Dogg
Rapper Common

The episode, which pays homage to “The Great Gatspy”, is entitled “The Great Phatsby”.

According to Entertainment Weekly, much of the episode is set at Burns’ summer mansion in the Springfield Hamptons, with Homer serving as narrator who becomes entangled in the story, similar to Nick Carroway in the book.

FOX Released the following statement describing the historic episode:

“Mr. Burns (Harry Shearer) tries to relive his glory days, and crosses paths with a mysterious music mogul. After being conned by him and reduced to bankruptcy, Burns seeks revenge on the music producer with the help of Homer, Bart, rapper Jazzy James (guest voice Keegan-Michael Key) and the mogul’s ex-wife, Praline (guest voice Taraji P. Henson), along with Snoop Dogg, Common and RZA (guest-voicing as themselves).”

“Also in the episode, Lisa (Yeardley Smith) is courted by the richest kid in town, Smithers (Shearer) begins a perilous journey and Marge (Julie Kavner) opens an obscure boutique store in the all-new ‘The Great Phatsby,’ special one-hour episode of ‘The Simpsons’ airing Sunday, Jan. 15 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT) on Fox.”
