Black girl magic has official taken over the Olympics this year with three of the most talked about ladies.

  • Simone Biles is the first female U.S. gymnast to win three golds in one game.
  • Michelle Carter is the USA’s first ever women’s slot put gold winner.
  • Simone Manuel won a gold, set a record and is the first black woman to win a medal in individual swimming.

These three ladies have made the biggest impact on the Rio Olympics and I am so grateful to see some of our own accomplish and take home the gold.

It’s such a warm-hearted feeling because back in the segregation years people of color were not allowed to be apart of sports with whites, which was unfair… but this sort of makes up for the past.

We have so many talent African-Americans over the decades and to know that it is our younger generation, who’s making history in an event that used to be made for whites only is so exciting.

Congratulations to all the winners in this years 2016 Rio Olympics, even though it is still going on. Good luck to all the other competitors, who are striving to take home the gold.

I will leave you with a quote from Beyoncé ‘Formation‘ song, “I see it, I want it, I stunt, yellow-bone it,I dream it, I work hard, I grind ’til I own it, I twirl on them haters, albino alligators… Cause I slay!” WE ALL SLAY!
