Tell us about the Magnolia Brunch. Where did the idea come from?
The “Stories of Success” Magnolia Brunch is a part of the 100 MS Magnolia Project, which is a challenge I gave myself to assist 100 women in the state of Mississippi to do something they have been yearning to do but didn’t know how and needed support to accomplish it.The Magnolia Brunch was created because I know women LOVE to eat and chat! I feel a neutral place and nice dining is the perfect element for women to meet up to learn, encourage, and grow in life and business/career. I am looking forward to mothers and daughters coming together and enjoying each other’s company.

What type of impact do you want this event to make?

I want to travel the state of Mississippi locking arms/shoulder-to-shoulder with women to support them in whatever they left on the sideline as they were being mothers, wives, caregivers, etc. The impact I expect is the development of a group of forward thinking, independent women who challenge the status quo, ignore glass ceilings with the realization that being “perfectly imperfect” is okay. My Magnolia Sisters will be innovative leaders prepared to teach, lead and inspire others by using their gifts.

When and where will the Magnolia Brunch occur?
April 30, 2016 in Flowood, Mississippi at Table 100 from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Will there be any keynote speakers or special guest?
I will have special guests supporting the mission for this event. Marshea Chambers-Mayfield, Robin E. Devonish, and Surprisingly Social. I am also asking a few women to speak in order to provide them with training in public speaking. This will help to improve their presentation and learning curve.

Who’s invited?
All women over the age of 18 years old are invited. Men are welcome, but just know we’re going to be speaking openly and honestly…. so don’t get offended!
