Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Where do you live now?
My name is Jennifer and I am from Waco, Texas. I graduated from Baylor University and I work as an Elementary Art teacher in Irving.
I currently live with my amazing husband, Harold, in Corinth. Harold grew up in Southlake, Texas and then graduated from Princeton University and University of Texas (MBA). He is a business management consultant.
We met on August 5, 2013, and 361 days later we were married on August 1, 2014.
Our love story is a whirlwind romance and we would love to share it!
How did you meet?
We met online after some of our friends urged us to try online dating. We chatted for a few weeks and planned our first date for August 5th, 2013.
We only went on dates with each other. After that, we knew we would be together and get married. It was love at first sight!
Describe the moment you knew you belonged together.
During our first date, we laughed, talked and didn’t want the night to end. We had dinner and then went to a movie. Afterwards, we had gelato dessert and watched another movie at my house.
The next day, Harold told his roommate that he was going to marry me. A day later, he told me he was falling in love with me and we started talking about marriage. We just knew we wanted to be together.
What makes your relationship work?
We are best friends! We love to hang out together and share many common interests. From golf to yoga, we always have fun wherever we go!
We trust each other and depend on each other for life, advice, and guidance.
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
My favorite thing about Harold is his heart. He has such a pure and kind heart. Anyone who meets him can tell you the same. He is warm, friendly and hilarious!
Harold loves my heart as well. He told me from the start that he knew I would take good care of him. He knew I would love him and not ever treat him unkindly.
Tell us about your funniest moment together.
Every day brings comedy with us. We both love to be the center of attention. Harold has different accents that he loves to try from African to Australian. He is really a character!
We make each other laugh every day. I love to be sarcastic with him and we bounce jokes off each other all the time.
