Cruz and Cherry are the founders of Cruz Inc Media, Marketing and Public Relations. They love movie nights, bowling and traveling. Cruz is originally from Tennessee and Cherry is from New Jersey. They currently reside in Chesterfield.
They have 4 children, ages 15 to 33. They are quick to tell you that they are friends as well as husband and wife.
Cruz says, “She is my ride or die chick”. Cherry says, “He is my Superman”.
How did you meet?
I saw Cherry at the light and saw that we were both heading to Target. I walked around the store contemplating whether or not to say something to her. Finally, I went down one aisle, so that I could walk in her direction. As I approached her, I smiled and she flashed her beautiful, youthful-looking smile.
I said to her, “I am not a stalker… LOL; and I am straight forward. I forgot what I came in Target for, but I don’t want to leave here without your name, number and a dinner date…”
Yes, mission accomplished!

Cruz: The moment, I saw her smile….
Cherry: The moment he looked into my eyes….
What makes your relationship work?
We remain friends first. We can communicate about the good, the bad and the ugly. We don’t keep secrets from each other. Perhaps the most important thing is that we are not perfect, but by the Grace of God, we are both a work in progress. Being able to accept each other’s faults unconditionally, allows us to be ourselves and love unconditionally.
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
In those rare times we disagree or get angry with each other, one of us will find a way to make the other laugh. We can’t stay mad at each other very long…LOL
Tell us about your funniest moment together.
It had to be this past winter… We had the best snowball fight! I pushed her down in the snow and ended up falling as I tried to run…That is what I get for pushing her down! LOL
