According to Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary, a misfit is a person who is different from other people and who does not seem to belong in a particular group or situation.
Does that sound like you? If so, then you just might be a misfit.
To be a true misfit, you can’t fit into what society has deemed ordinary. No matter how hard you try, you’re always considered a little peculiar… somewhat different. Because of this, going along with the crowd leaves you feeling awkward, which results in you spending less time talking and more time overthinking. Does this also sound like you?
If this fits you to a tee, then I have a heart for you. I can personally relate to the term that’s trending and continuously growing in popularity. Can you remember when it just wasn’t cool to be labeled a misfit?
One thing that I’ve learned is that there is a lesson in living the life of a misfit. Even when you are overlooked, it’s important to remember that someone will see and understand your life’s purpose. Someone in this world needs what you have to offer. They are patiently waiting for you to embrace your God-given quirkiness to share with the world.
We were all placed here with a common goal in mind. This goal intertwines us by allowing us to experience a connection with power to change lives.
Once you learn to appreciate the imperfect, temporary label of misfit, you will discover your permanent, perfect fit into God’s master plan.
Today, I challenge you to go against the norm. Dare to be different.
