🖼️ Exhibition Overview

Hold the Line, Volume III: Ode to the Black Woman is a groundbreaking exhibition at the PATH Museum, featuring 50 Black male artists who pay tribute to the power, beauty, and resilience of Black women. Curated by Ralph “rEN” Dillard and Brian Hebert, the exhibition showcases a diverse range of artworks, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. The title, “Hold the Line,” reimagines a military strategy as a cultural stance: Black men uniting in solidarity to celebrate the women who have long carried families, communities, and traditions forward.

The exhibition aims to dismantle stereotypes of masculinity and uplift the contributions of Black women with honesty and grace. As co-curator Ralph “rEN” Dillard states, “Black women have always held the line for us. This exhibition is our way of standing shoulder to shoulder in gratitude, telling the world that we see, honor, and revere their strength and brilliance.”

🎨 Notable Artists Include:

Jim Alexander, Miya Bailey, Charly Palmer, Alfred Conteh, Dr. Fahamu Pecou, Gilbert Young, Frank Morrison, Kevin “Wak” Williams, and many more.
