GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi has announced that Bobby Rush will appear at the Museum for a special installment of its intimate An Evening With series on Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m. in the Sanders Soundstage. Held in conjunction with the Museum’s current exhibit, Highway 61: Traveling America’s Music Highway, the event will feature a conversation moderated by Charly Abraham during which Rush will discuss his career, recent GRAMMY win and the artifacts he has on display in the Highway 61 exhibit. The conversation will be followed by a performance.
“We are so honored to again be welcoming the legendary Bobby Rush back to our Museum for a special evening of conversation and music,” said Emily Havens, Executive Director of GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. “Bobby has made such a profound impact on the history of American music, especially the blues, and we look forward to having him here to share the many highlights of his career, and his involvement in our current special exhibit, Highway 61: Traveling America’s Music Highway.”
Tickets to An Evening With Bobby Rush are $15 for GRAMMY Museum Mississippi members and $25 for non-members. Tickets are currently on sale at grammymuseumms.org.
