The Arc of Freedom & Social Justice Foundation Art Festival and Film Screening will take place in the Bennie G. Thompson Academic & Civil Rights Research Center on February 23rd from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM CST. Attendees are encouraged to partake in a panel discussion with the Freedom Fighters. There will also be food, films, and art showcases.
During an interview with Southern Laced guest host Fallon Victoria for GET LACED… LET’S TALK! Podcast, Producer and Director Christopher Windfield shared the backstory of his documentary. Corey Redd, who is the Vice President of The Arc of Freedom and Social Justice Foundation, discussed the importance of spreading awareness and educating youth about civil rights in Mississippi. Lastly, Will Kelly, Jr., who is the President of The Arc of Freedom and Social, opened up about how this nonprofit organization actually started.
