(New York, NY- November 27, 2017)  Congratulations are in order to R&B sensation Ledisi as she took home the 2017 “Soul Train Certified Award.” Ledisi also gave an amazing performance at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas during the ceremony, partnering with Kirk Franklin for a rendition of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ “Wake Up” that also featured Le’Andria Johnson, Daniel Caesar, and MAJOR. (Click Here to View). Fittingly, Ledisi is currently co-headlining “The Rebel, The Soul & The Tour” with Franklin, garnering rave reviews. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch called it an “entertaining show,” with the St. Louis American stating “They have an undeniable chemistry when on stage together.” Fans can log onto www.ledisi.com/tour for more information (remaining tour dates below).

It’s been an eventful month for Ledisi, who also just garnered three NAACP Award nominations in the “Outstanding Female Artist,” “Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album,” and “Outstanding Song – Traditional” categories, alongside such artists as Beyoncé and Bruno Mars.

NPR featured Ledisi as part of their coveted “Tiny Desk Concert” series,  (Click here to watch) where she performed singles “High,” “Add To Me,”  album title track “Let Love Rule,” and hit single “I Blame You,” transforming the NPR office into her own personal stage.

Ledisi’s new video “Add To Me” (Click Here To Watch) also premiered Friday via BET Soul & BET Her. Set in a speakeasy, the video has Ledisi’s love interest, played by Timon Kyle Durrett (Queen Sugar), trying to get her attention after meeting at a civil rights rally. Having a cinematic vibe, Ledisi was adamant about bringing back the imagery of nostalgic R&B videos originally pioneered by the likes of Michael Jackson and Madonna.  The video was directed by longtime collaborator Ron T. Young, who also co-wrote the video concept with the soul singer.

Ledisi’s ninth studio album Let Love Rule, which features John Legend, Kirk Franklin, and B.J. The Chicago Kid is available now on Verve Records.
