“You did not wake up today to be mediocre.”- Unknown
Have you ever felt stuck or just lost in limbo? It’s the worst feeling ever. How do I know? I’ve been there! It’s not a fun place to be. And it’s definitely not the way you would want to start the new year.
You may be inclined to set a New Year’s resolution, but I wouldn’t advise that if your life has come to a complete stop . Why? Because a resolution without a daily plan to achieve the resolution is a set up for failure being someone who’s life has come to a halt.
The most productive thing you can do is start making daily changes:
1. Start planning effectively.
Take the time to set goals. Remember: It’s okay if you have to revamp them along the way.
2. Learn from your mistakes.
Mistakes are teachers. They are also a reminder that we are ALL human.
Don’t borrow money you can’t pay back. If you can’t pay for it in cash, more than likely it’s better to wait until you can. To put things into perspective, ask yourself if it’s something you want or need.
4. Stop procrastinating.
There’s no better time to start than NOW. Tomorrow is not promised.
5. Reduce stress by decluttering your life.
Environments can get you down. People can deplete your energy. Small things can add up. Move, unfriend, DECLUTTER… Do whatever it takes for you to be at peace.
6. Keep a steady income by working.
Unemployment can cause a strain on your finances. Until you can find full-time employment, find out what you’re good at. Then, make money doing it.
7. Take heed to warnings.
Warning comes before destruction. Never ignore those gut feelings you have when something just ain’t right.
8. Beware of wolves in sheep clothing.
Sometimes enemies come disguised as friends. Know your circle.
9. Always take care of what you have.
Don’t expect God to bless you with more and you’re not taking care of what He’s already blessed you with.
Be so concerned with your next step that you won’t have time to meddle in other people’s lives. If you don’t have any business, get you some in 2017!
