As we approach our 30,000th view, Southern Laced would like to recognize individuals who inspire communities through the field of arts. Awardees, which include artist working in literary arts, visual arts, theater, music, singing, design, and dance, will be nominated by the public.

NOMINATIONS

Each category is open to the first 25 unique nominations. Nominations in the following six categories will be accepted from September 15, 2016 to October 15, 2016, via our Facebook event page:

• 2016 Southern Laced Artist of the Year Award – A dedicated artist who has inspired and influenced communities through the field of arts.
• 2016 Southern Laced Dance Award – A dancer or choreographer who has inspired and influenced communities through the field of arts.
• 2016 Southern Laced Design Award – A Fashion, Graphic, Stage or Web Designer who has inspired and influenced communities through the field of arts.
• 2016 Southern Laced Literary and Theatre Award – A Director, Actor or Writer who has inspired and influenced communities through the field of arts.
• 2016 Southern Laced Music Award – A Contemporary, Blues, Jazz or Rhythm & Blues musician or singer who has inspired and influenced communities through the field of arts.
• 2016 Southern Laced Visual Arts Award – An artist who has inspired and influenced communities through drawing, painting, photography or film.

OFFICIAL NOMINEES

The Top 10 Nominees in each category will be announced on October 17, 2016. Voting for these nominees will be open from October 21, 2016 – November 21, 2016, via our Facebook event page. The nominee with the most votes in each category will be the designated winner.

Winners will be announced on November 24, 2016, via southernlaced.com and Facebook event page. All winners will receive a trophy.

DISCLAIMER

All nominees shall be at least 18 years or older to be eligible to participate in the 2016 Southern Laced Creative Arts Awards. If under the age of 18, the nominee can ONLY be nominated by his/her parent. Nominees shall reside in the fifty (50) the United States and the District of Columbia. Odds of winning depend on the number of votes the nominees receive during each voting period.

Anyone shall nominate an artist with a social media presence for the 2016 Southern Laced Creative Arts Awards. Duplicate nominations that are already listed shall be deleted. Should there be a tie in any category after final votes have been tallied, Southern Laced reserves the right to randomly select the potential winner.

Please note that entries shall be disqualified at any time without explanation. Contributors of Southern Laced shall not be nominated, but they are encouraged to nominate an artist of their choice.

NOMINEES SHALL NOT BE NOMINATED FOR MORE THAN TWO CATEGORIES.
